A new smile and Thanksgiving

This is his new smile. Isn't it funny? He was all smiles this week, and I was one relieved proud mommy. {He was diagnosed with his 4th ear infection Tuesday afternoon, so I was a little skeptical.} Thanks to his favorite Praise Baby DVD, this CD, and cheerios, the drive to Opp Wednesday was uneventful.

He had lots of fun with Mimi, Papa, and the rest of the Reed clan- especially cousin Hannah:) Mimi cooked an awesome Thanksgiving dinner, and Papa is probably sore from lifting our 26 pounds of love.

Mike and I went to the Iron Bowl, and Mama D and Daddy G kept Trent. Tracy tried to get a good picture of the boys, but it didn't work out very well. Here's one of my personal favorites...
Daddy G tried to help the situation. He was not successful...

Mama D stepped in, but she couldn't handle Trenter either... {Please tell me this happens during your photo sessions!}

However, these guys came over yesterday and did a great job...

We had a great Thanksgiving! Thank you God for our many blessings!

We are praying for another blessing this week. Mike has scans Tuesday, and we will find out if his new treatment is working. He looks and feels great, so we're hoping for good news. You can visit his site for more details.

Splish Splash

I know he will probably hate these pictures one day, but aren't they cute?! He loves bath time, but baths usually end in meltdowns. He always tries to stand up, and he has come close to falling a few times. I have to say "No Trent" in my super stern voice, and that usually makes the bottom lip poke out. By the time we are putting on his pajamas, he is not a happy camper. Luckily, he is pulls himself together when he sees the bottle.

Now, for a totally random question... Did anyone have lots of new hair after pregnancy? My hair fell out in clumps a few months after having Trent. Now, it's coming back in, and it looks like I have bangs. {Those who knew me in 7th grade know that this is not a good look for me.} I don't think there is anything I can do about it, but I thought I'd see if anyone else experienced this craziness.

Good Deals

Can you believe Christmas is six weeks away?! I bought my first few gifts this week at Kohl's. I recently started shopping at Kohl's, because they have great deals on toys and other fun stuff. I opened a Kohl's card about a month ago. {This is a big deal, because I didn't have any store credit cards.} Mike was not very excited about my new card, but he's changed his tune a little after seeing how much money I've saved. Yesterday, I spent $129 and saved $126; and I got $20 in Kohl's cash. Isn't that fabulous? Most of the stuff I bought was already on sale, and then I saved an additional 20% off everything, thanks to my card. If you haven't been to Kohl's in a while, I'd encourage you to check it out. {I am not promoting a credit card, but Kohl's has great deals even without the card.}

You might also want to check out Wal Mart's grananimals shirts. They are $3.00 in the stores, and Trent's have held up very well. I bought him lots of turtlenecks to wear under longalls, and I recently bought a couple of the long-sleeved shirts to monogram. Check out this cute shirt the little man will be sporting around Christmas time.

10 months

Trent is 10 months old today! Here's his newest trick...

Look at the face of concentration.

He's becoming such a big boy! He has finally started holding his own bottle {two months before he's supposed to give it up.} We're having so much fun with him, but I'm pretty sure we're going to have a strong-willed child on our hands. {I have no idea where that came from, haha!}

Mama D and Daddy G kept Trent last Saturday, so Mike and I could go to the Alabama-LSU game. We had SO much fun spending time with great friends! The game was pretty awesome too:) I tried to get a picture of the two of us, but it didn't turn out. Here's one of the girls...

Ribbit Ribbit and Advice

Meet Mr. Trenter, the Frog. We didn't go trick-or-treating this year; but our friend Jackson turned one on Saturday, and Trent wore his costume to the party.

Trent had so much fun at the party and loved Jackson's playroom. {Mindy, you really should blog about that awesome room!} He especially enjoyed playing with the Busy Ball Popper, and Jackson was sweet to share with him. I was happy to see that, since he's getting one for Christmas:)

The picture above was obviously taken at the beginning of the party, as all of the munckins are wearing their headpieces.
After the party, we went to see Mama D, Aunt Tracy and Trevor. Of course we took more pictures! I'm sure Mr. Frog and Mr. Pumpkin will enjoy many Halloweens together!

This last one was taken last Friday night, but I just threw it in, since he's wearing a Halloween outfit:)

Now that Halloween is over and Thanksgiving and Christmas are rapidly approaching, does anyone have any advice/recommendations/ideas regarding what to get Trent for Christmas and his birthday? His birthday is two weeks after Christmas. {Note to self: try to get pregnant in the summer next time, ha!} If you know of anything a one-year-old needs or loves, please let me know!
