Awesome Twosomes and a Long shot

I am addicted to this candy.  I stumbled upon them at Wal-Mart a couple of weeks ago, but then they disappeared.  I searched two Wal-Marts, Publix, CVS, and Walgreens.  When I Googled them, I saw them on Amazon.com.  So, I might have ordered a case and upgraded to Amazon Prime in order to get free and faster shipping.  In all of my candy-loving years, I've never ordered candy online.  These are that good!

I know this is a long shot, but I don't have anything to do with these shirts.  They are size 24 months {Trent wore them at 18 months} and monogrammed tRm.  If you have or know of a little boy who can wear them, I'd be happy to pass them along.  They are used but still in good condition.

I'm finally updating the picture on the side of our blog.  The old one was almost a year old, but we don't take family pictures very often, and we hardly ever get decent ones.  Mike will be happy to see the new picture, because he was not a fan of the other one:)

Maybe Next Year

Easter Egg Hunt 2010

Easter Egg Hunt 2011

He cried the whole 5 minutes of the egg hunt today.
He was more interested in the riding lawn mower he'd seen cutting the grass before the hunt.
He had no desire to pick up plastic eggs.  {Maybe we should have practiced, or at least introduced a plastic egg, before today.}

Maybe he knows Easter isn't really about eggs and bunnies.
I know that is not the case right now, but I pray he understands the true meaning of Easter as he gets older.

 Thankfully, he recovered after the hunt was over, and we had a great day celebrating Easter with family.

A Fat Lip... Girls... and Bubbles

Friday morning Trent was sitting in my lap.  He turned his head as I was bending down, and his head hit my lip.  It didn't hurt very badly, and I barely noticed it as I got dressed and put on make-up.  We went about our day.  As I was sitting in a waiting room talking to a friend, I kept thinking my lip felt weird.  When I got in the car at 9:30, this is what my lip looked like...

Yep, my two-year-old gave me a fat lip.  At least it was an accident:)  I went home for lunch and showed Mike {I hadn't even mentioned it that morning, because I didn't think anything of it.}  He thought it was hilarious and made fun of it the rest of the day.  I couldn't be mad, because I had fun with it too.  Every time I'd walk in an office and somebody would ask me about it, I'd say, "What?  Is something wrong with my lip?"  Yeah, I'm a dork...

On to the next topic-- girls!  We had lots of little girls over this weekend, and it was so much fun!  Our nieces, Hannah and Caroline came over Friday afternoon.

Trent and Caroline {AKA KK} had lots of fun together.  He has mentioned KK multiple times since she left Friday night, and I think he likes that she nicknamed herself KK, because he would never try to say Caroline.

Hannah tried to teach Uncle Mike how to dance.

Yes, that is a pink cast on her leg! Who says you can't dance with a broken leg?

Heidi and Lillian came to see us Saturday.  We've rescheduled this trip 3-4 times, and I'm SO happy that it finally worked out!  Trent and Lillian played well together, despite the fact that they are completely opposite in every way. {Which I believe will work out great for them when they get married one day!}

Have you ever seen bubbles inside of bubbles?!  My sister found this bubble machine at Wal-Mart for $20, and it's been a hit at our house!

One last thing- Trent was playing with these people last night and said that the one on the left was Daddy and the one on the right was Mama!

Mike, I guess that's what you get for making fun of my lip! HA!

Roses, 31 and the Easter Bunny

If you're looking for something simple and pretty to plant in your backyard, I highly recommend knockout roses.

All we did is water them last year when they were "new," so I was thrilled to see them come back so pretty this year.

This is the first time I've ever had fresh flowers from my own yard in a vase, and I think I could get used to it... as long as they are this easy... and free.

I turned 31 yesterday.  I slept until 7:45, and it was heavenly.  My favorite present was Trent saying, "Wuv you Mama" for the first time.  I thought it was the first time he'd ever told anyone he loved them, but Mike informed me that he said, "Wuv you too" the day before when Mike told him he loved him.  {Thanks honey.}  I've eaten half of my cookie cake, and I'm sure the rest will be gone soon.

I took Trent to see the Easter Bunny at our neighborhood clubhouse today.  He liked the bunny, but he did not like the photographer pulling his thumb out of his mouth.  Thankfully he held it together, and we don't have another crying picture. {I think it was because the Easter Bunny did not say a word!}

This isn't part of the title, but I just realized I never posted pictures from last weekend.  Mike and Travis went turkey hunting, so Trent and I hung out with Mama D, Daddy G, Tracy and Trevor.  Trent and Trevor have decided that they enjoy holding hands.

They also enjoy wagon rides, even if their faces don't show it.

I made the last batch of shirts for Trent's spring-summer wardrobe. Andi had already given me the shorts, so I was glad to finally catch up.

I can't believe it is already April.  It was 87 degrees today, so it looks like summer is here too:)
