I noticed these...

Those are some brows, aren't they?  I love that some of you noticed them too.  To his credit, they don't look this crazy in person.  If they did, I'd get the tweezers and attack them while he slept:)  Thanks for playing our game... especially since I WON:):)

ps-- Mike says he's going to make some major life changes due to your comments.  Just kidding!  He thought they were hilarious!

What do you notice?

What do you notice when you look at this picture {other than it's backwards}?  Don't worry about being nice.  Mike asked me to post it, because we have a bet centered around it.

*Mike took it himself with the computer.

Trevor

My favorite nephew, Trevor Laten Rush, arrived (2.5 weeks early) on August 27th at 7:55 am.  He was 7 pounds 7 oz. and 21 inches long.  He's perfect!!  Tracy, Travis and Trevor are doing well.  Tracy also has a new blog!  She hasn't updated yet, but I look forward to lots of pictures of the sweet boy!!

Beautiful Day

Mike didn't work today, so we're having fun at home. I attempted an afternoon photo session. There was too much Bailey poop in the back, so we put a blanket in the front yard.  Aren't you glad we're not your neighbors?

We did lots of this...

And some of this...

But a whole lot of this, when Mommy tried to take solo pictures...

At least somebody likes having her picture taken...

I hope you're having a great Saturday.  I'm off to enjoy a big bowl of ice cream while my boys nap:)

I like it! I love it!

I love my new blog design!  Rachel did an awesome job!  Check out  Uniquely Yours if you're looking for a cute design:)

Here are a few pictures of what's been going on around here...

He's not crawling yet, but he's doing a whole lot of rocking.  He also tried a sippy cup for the first time.  He eventually learned how to hold it himself but never got the whole "tilting" idea.  He still likes to jump, and he's now sleeping on his tummy with his bottom up {which I think is one of the cutest baby things ever!!}

New Name

Our blog has a new name....

Reed All About it

Thank you Whitney!!  Laura, you were just a little late:)  I will mail the Starbucks cards this week.  Notice I said cards... Mike and Bailey drew a number out of a cup tonight.  I captured the moment on video, but I am too lazy don't have time to upload the video.  They drew number EIGHT.  Since the removed comment was not included, Kelli wins a Starbucks card too!

Thank you for your great suggestions!  We had a hard time picking just one.  This giveaway stuff was fun... I think I will have another one soon:)

Name this Blog

Recently I've noticed lots of blog giveaways. I've never participated, but I've decided to change that and start throwing my name in the comment section. What better way to celebrate my participation than to offer a contest/giveaway of my own? Well, that and the fact that I need something, and I'm not above bribery.

I want to name my blog. I'm not looking for anything crazy creative {although I will gladly accept it.} I was trying to think of something with "Reed" in it. Mike suggested "Reed Ramblings," but I don't love it. I know I ramble, but to throw it in the title may defer my three readers.

My friend Rachel is going to pimp my blog, and I want the new name before she works her magic. {Yes, I know I used to pimp blogs myself, but she is very good at it.} Check out her site if you're interested.

Now on to the contest/giveaway part... If you leave a comment suggesting a blog name, I will enter you to win one of my favorite things...

A Starbucks gift card!! And if you don't have a Starbucks near you, I will send you a gift card to a place near you.

If we {I'm going to make Mike help me choose} use the name you suggested, you WIN. And if there are lots of suggestions/comments, I might draw a name randomly as well. The contest will end Monday night at 8pm. Thanks in advance for your help!

Trent's Favorite Things

These are some Trent's favorite things. I'm sure I'll leave something out, but it will be fun to look back and see what he liked at this point in life.1. His thumb. This boy loves to suck his thumb. I'm sure this will be a problem eventually, but right now I enjoy his ability to self-soothe and put himself to sleep.
2. The jumperoo. We don't have an exerciser; for some reason I registered for this instead. Trent can jump for a very long time, and it's the only toy he will sit in. He gave up the swing and the bouncy seat a long time ago, and I dread the day he gives this up. It says it holds up to 25 pounds; we may put it to the test.
3. At $2.00 a pop, we have four sets of these. I keep a pair in my purse, the diaper bag, his toy basket and the car. He plays with a set of keys at my mom's house that I had as a baby; not only are they cheap, they last:)
4. Earth's Best baby food. My mom bought me the book Super Foods. It teaches you how to make your own baby food. Unfortunately, one of the first things I read was that if you didn't have time to make your own baby food, Earth's Best is the best choice. Trent likes all of it, but banana mango is one of his favorites {at 90 calories per jar, I'm not surprised!}
5. I am a Pampers fan, (Cruisers and Baby Dry) but for nighttime, Huggies are the best. I'm amazed every morning at how much these things hold. Trent must like them too, because he wears them for 12 hours at a time.

6. Mimi gave Trent this flower. He loves the music, and he loves chewing on the purple flower.
7. Here's a new favorite. My friend Margaret bought this for Trent. It's a Raz-Berry teether, and he enjoys chewing on it. {He still doesn't have a tooth yet!}

I'm sure I'll think of other stuff as soon as I post this, but I'll stop at lucky number 7.
Have a great weekend!

COUSINS ... {and an apology}

We went to Opp on Friday to meet sweet Caroline. Jeffrey (Mike's twin brother) and his wife, Jessica, now have two adorable little girls. Trent didn't really notice Caroline, but he loved Hannah... and pulling her pretty blonde hair:) I really wish we could have stayed longer, but I got to hold the sweet angel for a little while.

Yesterday we celebrated baby TREVOR. Tracy and Travis are due September 14th, and I predict Trevor Laten will make his grand entrance around September 6th. To say that I'm excited about this little boy is a huge understatement. Can you imagine how much trouble fun Trent and Trevor will have together? Today after church, we headed to my parents' land. Here's some of the highlights from today...
Do you think Trent looks like his Daddy G?
Daddy G tried to teach him how to drive the Ranger. Isn't this sweet?!
I'm starting to realize that I usually dress Trent in nice clothes and don't really notice my own outfits, ha!!
He was having way too much fun cutting grass!
Don't worry- no shots were fired!

And on a totally random note, please forgive me if you sent a baby gift and never received a thank-you note. Apparently part of my brain came out with Trent on January 11th. I was talking to a friend at Tracy's shower and realized I never wrote her a thank-you note for some fabulous lasagna she sent after we had Trent. She was super sweet about it, but I felt horrible. There's no telling how many others I forgot between January and March! Please, please please forgive me!
