11 weeks

Trent is 11 weeks old today! He is laughing, holding his head up {when he wants to} and sleeping 8 hours most nights. Those 8 hours are usually from about 8:45 to 4:45-5:00, but we'll take it!

We had a busy day today. Trent went to church for the first time and slept through the entire service. This afternoon he met our great friends Will and Ammie. He even behaved during his usual "fussy time" while they were here.

Also, M&Ms are "buy one get one free" at Publix, so I was forced to buy two bags of the peanut butter ones last night:)

Rub a dub dub

This little guy loves the tub!
He also likes the sweet peace soother. {He's not so sure about the camera.}
And the yellow dog... he likes her... she likes him most of the time too.All smiles after eating!
Oh how I love these cute legs!!!

And I am addicted to these- don't try them if you haven't already- you may get addicted too!! These and Dairy Queen Oreo blizzards... I can't get enough! I think I'm worse now than when I was pregnant!

Speaking of pregnant... my sister is pregnant!! She's almost 16 weeks and by far the best secret-keeper in the entire world. She didn't tell anybody {except for her hubby} until 10 weeks. We are CRAZY EXCITED!!! We find out the sex of Baby Rush in 9 days!! He or she is going to be super cute and very loved!

Twitter?

Does anybody twitter? I don't, because I really don't know what it is. And I sure don't have the time to waste spend "twittering"... but I am intrigued. It seems like everyone on television twitters. I visited the site, and it says it's all centered around one thing "what are you doing?" Hmm... people probably don't care to know most of the things I do right now. I doubt everyone wants to know when I am pumping milk, sanitizing bottles, making up songs {because I admit, I don't know many children's songs} cleaning house, driving to Starbucks, playing on the computer, blogging, etc.
Is twitter like the status thing on Facebook? I love some Facebook, but I rarely update my status, because of the above mentioned reasons. So... if you twitter {or know anything about it} please share your insight or experience with the rest of us. If it's really good, I guess I could try to find some cool things to do and start twittering between email, Facebook and blogging:)

Two Months

Trent's 2-month appt. was this morning. I had my list of questions ready, and I was a little nervous about the shots. Thank goodness he did extremely well. He screamed for a minute as the sweet nurse gave him three shots, and I managed to hold it together. I think he actually liked the rotavirus vaccine {probably because it was something to taste/swallow.} He is 13 pounds 4 oz and 24 inches long (90th percentile for both). The nurse didn't have any trouble finding a place to give the shots in his chunky legs:) His diet is still limited to breast milk, but the doctor told us we could give him a little rice cereal. He suggested using a spoon instead of putting it in the bottle. I think we have a better shot of him actually getting it if we put it in the bottle, don't you think? We might try it tonight.

Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks...
Trent was fussy, so Mike acted fussy too. He definitely looks like his daddy in this picture, haha!
"How many pictures are we going to take?"

Sweet Lillian came to visit us! Then this little cutie went on to spend her weekend in the hospital. She is feeling better, but please keep her (and Heidi and Brad) in your prayers.
Lisa and Ansley came to visit! Ansley was a great "babysitter." She put the paci back in his mouth and "ssshhh'd" him to sleep when he got fussy.

A few quick favorites

I don't even own Ugg boots, but I LOVE these Ugg bedroom shoes my grandmother gave me for Christmas. I wear them more than any shoes I own. They are super warm and comfy, and they have great soles, so you can wear them outside to take out trash or check the mail.

This stuff is awesome! It doesn't taste sugar free, and it's easy to make. I like all three flavors- cherry, tropical and grape.
Trent doesn't get diaper rash when I use these wipes. They are designed for breastfed babies. You can buy them at Target, but Target's brand is not the same. I wish you could buy them in bulk!

This is my favorite picture- for now. Yes, he is chunky... she is too:)

Loving some Lillian

We FINALLY went to Birmingham to meet Lillian yesterday!! Heidi and I talk daily, and we spend lots of time talking about Lillian and Trent, but it was much more fun seeing them in person! Thank you Heidi and Lillian! We had a great time, and we can't wait to see you both again!
Group shotI think I took 10 of these, and this is the best I got. Lillian did much better than Trent! I think Trent was working up a poop!Brad is not going to be happy to see that we put Trent in Lillian's bed with her... and that she tried to hold his hand:)This one is really going to upset Daddy! Trent couldn't get a hold of his thumb, so he went for Lillian's hand.Trent loved his Aunt Heidi!

Mama D came along too. Trent always loves seeing her, and Lillian LOVED her too! She made the funniest faces:)

In other news, our little man was up to 12 pounds 3 ounces at 7 weeks. He also slept from 9:30-5:00 one night this week {other nights he's woken up around 4 or 4:30.} My mom informed me that this was sleeping through the night-- REALLY?! I am still holding out for 9-6:00, haha!
