4 Months

Trent turned 4 months old last week. I can't believe he is 1/3 of a year old! He went for his check-up and shots on his 4-month birthday. He was 25.5 inches long and 17.3 pounds. He was in the 75th percentile for height and the 90th percentile for weight. His head was also in the 75th percentile, which was funny because it has been in the 50th percentile, and we thought it looked bigger:)

We are currently transitioning to a 4-hour schedule. We're only on day three, and it's going pretty well. He's sleeping 10-11 hours at night and napping for about 4 hours during the day, so we are happy campers at the Reed house:) We just started oatmeal, and he's okay with it, as long as he's not super hungry. He hasn't rolled over yet, so maybe that's coming soon.

This is his new favorite toy...

He loves to hold things {and put them in his mouth, of course.} Burp cloths and bibs are his favorites:)

Thanks for keeping up with our little guy.

Need New Makeup?

This sounds too good to be true, but I just ordered 2 eyeliners, 3 eye shadows, an eye lash curler, eye makeup remover pads, foundation brush, and 3 lip glosses for a grand total of $12.95!!

Here are the details...

Nordstrom is changing the logo on their makeup, so they're selling a ton of the makeup for one dollar on line. The make-up line E.L.F.(eyes-lips-face) has been bought out by Nordstrom and will be re-packaged with the Nordstrom name on it. They are getting rid off the entire make up in the ELF packaging. They are selling everything for $1. You do have to pay shipping. They have everything powder, mascara, lipstick, a mineral line, brushes etc. The website is:http://www.eyeslipsface.com/shop.aspWhen you check out there is a space for a coupon code. Use CAROLINA and save an additional $7.50 if your order is over $15.00. Or use SAVINGSELF and get 50% off any order.
Thanks to Kim for passing this along!!!

Down with O-P-P...

I always think about that song when we go to Opp:)

We went to Opp this weekend for Mothers Day and had a great time. Trent cried nonstop from the time we arrived at 7:00 last night until the time he went to bed at 8:30, but he redeemed himself today when he was sweet and happy.
When I walked downstairs this morning, this is what I saw...

Daddy said the only options were 6 month and 12 month, so he went with the 12 month. I loved it!

Trent had so much fun with Mimi and Papa. I think his favorite part was riding in the golf cart.

Trent was exhausted this afternoon. He slept the whole way home. Bailey and I slept most of the ride home too. It was great to see Mimi, Papa, Jessica and Hannah {there's no pictures of Hannah and Trent, because they were there last night during the crying fit.} Thanks for having us, and we will see you again soon!

Happy Mothers Day!!

It's official...

We have a thumb-sucker. Mike put Trent down wide awake last night, and after about 20 minutes of "talking," he fell asleep sucking his thumb. He will still take a pacifier, but he's realizing that his thumb is more convenient. I'm okay with it for now, as if I have a choice.

This picture was taken the same day as the ones in the previous post; he doesn't wear this outfit every day:)

Mike and I had a great 5-year anniversary! I spent a long time at the spa, using two gift certificates on a manicure, pedicure and facial. I loved every minute of it! I came home to find my two boys napping. They had so much fun they exhausted themselves:)
Friday night Mike and I went to eat sushi at our favorite Japanese restaurant, while our sweet friend Melissa kept Trent. Trent LOVED her and thought she was hilarious. Thank you Melissa!

This was taken before Mike and I left for date night. Trent must have been excited about Melissa coming over!

Trent is also excited about his new COUSINS that will be here soon! Jeffrey and Jessica {Hannah's parents} are having another sweet GIRL in July, and Tracy and Travis are having a BOY in September. Family Christmas' will never be the same again:)

5 Years!!

Mike and I have been married five years tomorrow! We started dating in September of 2000, so we've been together for almost nine years. They have definitely been the best years of my life! I never doubted that I married the right person, but seeing him with Trent every day reminds me that he is the perfect man for me. He is completely committed to us, and I am so thankful God blessed me with him!
Speaking of blessings, Paw Paw is now home from the hospital. Trent is still a little congested, but we never saw any signs of the ear infection. Does this look like a sick baby to you? Mike says he is tough like his daddy:)

And I know Paw Paw is making this face, now that he's home from the hospital...

Sick

Trent has his first ear infection. I would have never guessed it, because he has not had a fever or been fussy. He started coughing yesterday and sounded a little congested today. After testing negative for RSV, (thank goodness!) the doctor told us it looks like he has a cold that lead to an ear infection. Mike and I have both been congested recently, so we could have passed it on to our little man:( Actually, I probably don't need to call him "little man," as he weighed in at 17.5 pounds tonight at the doctor's office.
Trent isn't the only one that's been sick around here. Bailey was diagnosed with gastroenteritis, after a trip to the emergency vet at 6:30 Sunday morning. She was throwing up blood {sorry if that's TMI} but after fluids and antibiotics and an $800 vet bill , she is doing much better.

Lastly, but most important, please pray for my Paw Paw. He is in the hospital, after having chest pains today. He is one of the strongest men I know, and he doesn't let much slow him down.

Four...

is the number of times we changed Trent's clothes before church this morning. He kept spitting up just enough to warrant another outfit. I know my mom and probably some others are thinking I could have just wiped it off, but it was too much for that; and I didn't want to take him to church smelling like spit-up... at least not yet.

Yes, we own tons of bibs, and twice they were on him when he managed to spit up around the bibs. If he hadn't been so dang happy the whole time he was spitting, I might have backed out of church. Oops, I did try to back out after the third outfit, but Mike insisted that God was not giving us signs to skip church.
We left him in the nursery today for the first time, and they promised me he did great. He only cried once, when he woke himself up from a nap with a big burp and simultaneous poot. He is his daddy's child. So, my question is... what is the maximum number of times you have changed your child's outfit before leaving the house? Four seems like an awful lot to me; he might have gone in a onesie if he'd messed up number four.

15 weeks old... maybe I should have taken him to church like this:)

He loves his daddy!
