The Plan

We should meet Baby Miller tomorrow (Friday, February 17)... unless she decides she wants to make an early appearance.  I have to be at the hospital at 5:00 am to be admitted and start the induction process.
When I went to the doctor on Tuesday, I was 2-2.5 cm dilated and "thinned out."  Hopefully, I will have made even more progress by tomorrow morning.  I'm a little nervous about the pitocin, because it made me feel so sick last time, but I think there's medicine that can help that too.

Unfortunately, Trent is sick.  He had a fever of 102 yesterday, so we started antibiotics last night.  We are hoping it's just a cold that has turned into a sinus infection, because we went to the doctor Tuesday for his three-year check-up, and his ears, throat and chest checked out okay.  He's acting better today than he did yesterday, so hopefully he's on the mend and will be a-okay to meet his baby sister tomorrow.

Please keep us in your prayers this weekend.  Obviously this isn't going to be easy or ideal without Mike here, but God has put us in this situation, and I'm trusting Him to take care of us through it.  I have no doubt that Mike will be celebrating Miller's birthday in Heaven, so we will be celebrating here.

And since I can't post without pictures, here are a couple from the past few weeks...

Hi April-

I am friends with Havin Wise (and Sarah and Rebecca, too) and Courtney Cloud. I will be praying for you tonight and tomorrow as I know these will be very hard days as you anticipate Miller's arrival and meet her.

Blessings to you...

April you do not know me, I actually grew up Opelika as well. My younger brother is your age and was in church with you, Laura Holley, etc. We were neighbors with Maggie Meadows growing up- she is actually how I saw the prayer requests for Mike months and months ago. I have been following his caring bridge page since then. Your family has been in my prayers since then as well. I just wanted you to know that I will be thinking and praying for you and your family during this time. You are precious and I love how you are trusting in the Lord. Continue to lean on Him. Enjoy meeting your baby girl tomorrow.

April, you do not know me, but I've commented once or twice on this blog and a few times on the caringbridge site. You are always in my prayers, and I'll be saying extra prayers tomorrow and in the upcoming days. God will be with you and see you through this. I admire you so much. Much love and blessings.

Hi April-

It's been a long time since Alpha Chi days at Bama-- I just want you to know that I have been lifting you in prayer these last weeks.

"The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with His love and rejoice over you with singing." Zeph. 3:17

Hey there! I am so happy to know that baby Miller is coming tomorrow - February birthdays are the best :-) I will be praying for you diligently as you go through the weekend...you are so wise - God ordained this very moment and knew the situation before the foundation of time. Nothing surprises him. I can't wait to see where he takes your family from here - much love from our family to yours!

I will be praying for you, Trent, and Miller as well. I will pray for a quick recovery for Trent, a safe arrival of Miller, and that "the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:7)

Praying for a quick and easy delivery today. I also pray it's a happy time for your family as you celebrate this precious life and that the Lord bring you grace and peace and a restful weekend. Well, as restful as you can have with a newborn. ;) Can't wait to see pictures!!! I bet she'll look a lot like Mike.
